Live on Base
BitSong, connected to EVM
Hyperlane is built directly into the BitSong chain. Move $BTSG between BitSong and Base in seconds, no custodians, no wrapped-asset middlemen, one canonical token on both sides.
The first route
BitSong ↔ Base is live
Activated with the v0.24 chain upgrade, the first Hyperlane warp route connects BitSong to Base, one of the largest EVM ecosystems. BTSG is locked as collateral on BitSong and minted as a canonical ERC-20 on Base.

The protocol
What is Hyperlane?
Hyperlane is an open interoperability protocol that lets blockchains exchange messages and assets. On BitSong it doesn't run as an external service, it runs as part of the chain itself, activated by on-chain governance.
Chain-native, not custodial
Hyperlane's core and warp modules are compiled into the BitSong node. There is no third-party bridge operator holding your funds, collateral is locked by the chain itself.
Modular security
Every route is verified by an Interchain Security Module (ISM). The BitSong ↔ Base route uses a multisig ISM: validators sign every outbound message, and Base only accepts transfers carrying those signatures.
One canonical asset
BTSG on Base is a single canonical ERC-20, minted 1:1 against BTSG locked on BitSong. No fragmented wrapped versions, no ambiguity about which token is real.
Permissionless expansion
New routes to other EVM networks can be deployed, tested and activated without waiting for a bridge provider. Base is the first route, not the last.
Under the hood
How a transfer works
A warp route with a simple, auditable design: collateral on one side, a canonical ERC-20 on the other. Bridging back is the mirror image, BTSG is burned on Base and unlocked on BitSong.
1. Lock
You send BTSG to the warp route on BitSong. The tokens are locked as collateral on-chain.
2. Dispatch
The Mailbox module emits a cross-chain message with the transfer details.
3. Verify
Hyperlane validators sign the message, and the Interchain Security Module on Base verifies their signatures.
4. Mint
The BTSG contract on Base mints the same amount to your address. Done, usually within seconds.
Every BTSG on Base is backed 1:1 by BTSG locked on BitSong. Total supply never changes.
Why it matters
What this unlocks
Base is home to Coinbase's on-chain products, a deep DeFi landscape and millions of active wallets. BTSG can now go where they are.
BTSG where EVM users are
Hold BTSG in MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet or Rabby, and use it with the tools millions of Base users already know.
Liquidity beyond Cosmos
DEX pools, lending markets and on-chain apps on Base can integrate BTSG as a standard ERC-20.
A cross-chain music economy
BTSG is the first BitSong asset to go cross-chain. The same rails can carry fantokens and future music assets to EVM ecosystems.
